Over half the papers were generated by Runk's service as a trustee of The Episcopal High School, Alexandria, Va. The remainder cover a variety of topics related to the University of Virginia, including speeches, memorial funds, faculty and student recommendations, and special events. Mr. Runk's Ph. D. dissertation The fertilization process, coblastema development and cystocarp formation in Agardhiella Tenera (J. Agardh) schmitz is included as are student notebooks in botany, some from the classes of Ivey F. Lewis. Of interest is a sermon by Charlottesville pastor A.D. Bestebreurj.
